North Barchant launches its own online gaming licensing system

The Kingdom of North Barchant has announced the creation of its independent licensing framework — KNB Government Approved Gaming — aimed at building a more transparent and secure digital gaming environment.

According to KNB officials, the new system is designed to verify operator integrity, boost user trust, and establish an international registry of vetted gaming platforms and solution providers.

The Kingdom points out that today's online gaming market urgently needs additional tools for digital identification and reputation control — especially with the rapid growth of cross-border platforms, crypto-gaming, and the Web3 economy.

Importantly, the KNB license does not replace national licenses from individual countries. Instead, it acts as an independent mechanism for digital registration and compliance verification for operators active in the global online space.

The KNB Government Approved Gaming system also includes:

  • a public register of licensed operators,

  • business reputation checks on applicants,

  • and monitoring of compliance with internal transparency and security standards.

One standout feature: licenses are issued completely free of charge.
The regulator believes this ensures a level playing field for all applicants and preserves the independence of the licensing process. No licensing fees mean the system is fairer, more objective, and focused on what really matters — actual compliance with standards of transparency, security, and fair conduct.

For North Barchant, the development of KNB Government Approved Gaming is part of a broader strategy to create modern digital institutions and international self-regulatory frameworks that drive transparency, accountability, and trust across the global gaming industry.
